A sleek design and a sharp display combine to make the TomTom ONE a vital companion on the road. THe ONE, 3rd edition comes pre-loaded with complete maps for the United States and Canada.
Weighing less than 10 ounces and measuring 4.33 x 3.5 x 1.34 inches, the TomTom ONE can be easily installed in any vehicle. An included windshield suction mount holds it in place. Plus, with an operating temperature range of an icy -10 degrees to a sweltering 55 degrees Celsius (14 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit), the navigator is durable enough for New England winters or Arizona summers. The TomTom ONE is powered by an internal lithium ion battery that can be charged from your vehicle's cigarette lighter with the included 12-24V adapter.

I bought this Tom Tom for my mother as a birthday present. It is super easy to install because there really is no need ot hook it up to anything. Just plug the power into the cigarette lighter and there you go. It has a battery but that only lasts for 2 hours or so. The interface is easy and intuitive. If the price difference was a little less then I probably would have opted for the same model with a wider screen. It will give voice commands to you so that you don't have to look at it constantly, but it won't say street names. Just "take next right." Overall very simple to use.

Picked this up with Amazon and am totally impressed for TomTom's bottom of the line GPS. Having owned the GO 300 and selling that I have had the chance to play with this for a while. The screen is about twice as bright as the 300, about 1/3 the weight. The battery lasts about half of the 300s but as long as you can use the cigerette lighter thats not a problem. The speaker is surprisingly loud (louder than Garmin Nuvi 660, Magellan 3410 among others). The window mount is built very cheaply but you don't need a lot of strength as the ONE is very light. The features are light on this unit, no text to speech, bluetooth,etc but for what you need this is a terrific GPS. The touchscreen is very responsive compared to the Magellan. You can't beat this deal.
